Marlborough, MA – December 12, 2005 – Kubotek USA
today launched a program offering new advantages for die-hard fans of
the popular CADKEY software. The company is kicking off an aggressive
program to help users preserve the life of their CADKEY files. CADKEY is
the predecessor to KeyCreator, the company’s popular design and
manufacturing software. The discount program is designed to help users
cost effectively retain CADKEY functionality as they change and
modernize their Windows computing environments.
“CADKEY customers have been loyal to the software for many years.
They asked us to develop specific capabilities before they would take a
serious look at adding KeyCreator to their environments,” said Robert
Bean, chief operating officer, Kubotek USA. “Now CADKEY users can keep
their existing licenses. Kubotek is making it easy for users to get the
most out of their CAD technology with a tough-to-refuse offer.”
Offer Designed for CADKEY Users
The new Kubotek CADKEY program offers: even more enhancements to
KeyCreator, a product certified and supported on the latest versions of
Windows; the productivity gains of advanced solids-based design;
associative drawing layout and file referencing; the familiar
CADKEY-like interface with hundreds of time saving improvements; and a
semi-automated conversion of existing CADL programs. The program also
offers amnesty for all CADKEY users -- regardless of current licensing
status. CADKEY users get a major discount on maintenance, a
“run-anywhere” license file and even a nostalgic trip down memory lane
with a visit to www.cadkey.com/extend to collect information on the new
program.
Enhancements Keep Coming
Kubotek is committed to expanding the KeyCreator product line with new
technology specifically requested by CADKEY users. The October 2005
release of KeyCreator included innovative Direct Feature Editing,
dramatically increasing productivity during the editing of solid models.
“CADKEY customers have been very clear about the functionality they
need to stay competitive,” continued Bean. “Kubotek continues to respond
to those requests by providing both significant and specific
enhancements. Some of our newest functionality improvements include
mirroring of dimensions, dimensioning of silhouette edges, and HLR
integration with wireframe.”
More information about the hundreds of advantages KeyCreator can
provide CADKEY users is available at www.cadkey.com/extend.
