Marlborough, MA – January 11, 2006 – Kubotek USA
today announces the creation of a high-level “Strategy Team” to serve as
the core driving force for new programs and growth initiatives. The
Strategy Team is working directly with customers and partners to open up
new markets and commercialize complementary products and services that
take advantage of Kubotek's unique capabilities in CAD interoperability
and real-time imported model editing.
“Today's CAD systems have evolved as powerful and efficient design
solutions that support a wide variety of innovation, creativity and
complexity,” said Robert Bean, chief operating officer, Kubotek USA. “As
design and manufacturing engineers have expanded their use of disparate
CAD systems and leveraged global development as a competitive advantage,
the need for better multi-CAD tools has become essential. Kubotek is
pushing the envelope with technology that directly addresses how
imported models can be translated reliably and reused alongside other
CAD systems.”
The Strategy Team combines the talents of existing Kubotek executives
with new personnel. The company has attracted Cheryl Salatino as vice
president of marketing to lead its market expansion initiative. Ms.
Salatino will oversee product and channel marketing, communications,
research, and brand development, while driving the company's market
positioning effort. A veteran of technology marketing, Ms. Salatino has
a 25 year track record of delivering competitive solutions to the
marketplace. She has held executive positions at industry leading
companies including Sun Microsystems, Computervision, Prime Computer and
Raytheon, as well as played pivotal roles in a number of entrepreneurial
ventures.
Other key members of the team include Dr. Paul Stallings, the
company's vice president of development and Bill DeAngelis, vice
president of channel sales.
Dr. Stallings has been tapped to drive product innovation and deliver
quality solutions to meet expanding marketplace challenges. Dr.
Stallings currently provides the strategic direction for Kubotek's
engineering software products, including its flagship design engineering
tool KeyCreator™. In addition, Dr. Stallings oversees the organization's
development team. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Stallings led a core
development team for ACIS, a product of Spatial Corp., the first
commercially available 3D modeling kernel and one of the engineering
industry's most widely used 3D component modelers. He is the principal
author of the ACIS Space Warping patent. Dr. Stallings spent his early
career at Unigraphics.
Mr. DeAngelis, a 20 year CAD industry veteran and Kubotek USA partner
champion, is driving channel growth and development. Mr. DeAngelis
directs the company's indirect sales channel for success. He is also
responsible for partner support and training across the Americas. Mr.
DeAngelis has a strong background in the engineering and the use of CAD
products. He has spent much of his career working directly with
customers to understand how CAD software can serve as a productive
design solution. Mr. DeAngelis has held key sales, engineering and
technical marketing positions at Parametric Technology, Computervision,
think3 and Teradyne.
“Kubotek USA's Strategy Team will be leveraging substantial market
momentum,” added Bean. “With new technology, partnerships, and a focus
on solving the industry's interoperability issues, we have driven strong
sales growth over the past year. Our success has engendered considerable
visibility in the industry. Kubotek is well positioned to enter new and
vital markets by pointing key resources and experienced personnel at an
exciting opportunity.”
